In this remote location in Malawi, last year we built school block and two teachers’ houses and also provided clean drinking water for the school and surrounding communities. A solar pump provides clean running water for the school, and a hand pump provides clean drinking water for communities in the surrounding areas.
On the 4th of January this year, the school opened with 50 students, 25 girls and 25 boys. The school will have an additional 50 students in October this year and then another 50 in 2023 and 2024 to reach a capacity of 200 students. We need more money to provide additional facilities: more teachers’ houses, a school block, clean toilets and more.
